Davanti Enoteca Brunch
Davanti Enoteca has been one of my get-to restaurants for years, but I just recently discovered their brunch menu. Last month the Windy City Blogger Collective hosted a brunch and we got to try Davanti Enoteca'due south delicious brunch card. I am happy to report that the River North location is just as skilful as the original Taylor Street location.
The problem with some brunches is that the food it is not appealing to men. That isn't the case here. The menu is loaded with options. They have standard brunch fare like omelets, benedicts, french toast, and pancakes, plus Italian classics. I promise this menu has something for everyone. Oh, and I should mention that they have an insane build your own Encarmine Mary bar and bottomless mimosas. Information technology is nigh too skilful to be true.
The chef generously sent out some of his favorites for everyone to effort. The bruschetta is a flawless take on a classic. Information technology's made with fresh Tuscan toast, sliced tomatoes seasoned with pesto, and fresh mozzarella.
The meatballs were big and hearty and an platonic appetizer to share with friends. At Davanti Enoteca they make their meatballs with a mix of veal and prosciutto, and you tin can taste the difference.
The focaccia is thin and crispy and stuffed with fresh creamy ricotta and served with honeycomb. The sweetness and salty flavors balanced each other perfectly.
The Truffle Egg Toast is on the brunch and dinner menus and you lot only take to try it. Information technology involves soft bread that is toasted and topped with cheese, eggs, and truffle and it is served with grilled asparagus. I get this every fourth dimension I dine at Davanti Enoteca.
Since Davanti Enoteca's handmade pastas are bachelor on the brunch menu – and I couldn't resist ordering the cacio east pepe, it is i of my favorite pasta dishes in the urban center. It's cheesy and flossy and information technology has just the right corporeality of pepper.
Glazed and Infused is connected to Davanti Enoteca's River North location and our brunch ended with the staff delivering doughnuts to our tables to take abode with u.s.. A doughnut is a wonderful brunch dessert.
There were 30 bloggers at the brunch and the staff at Davanti Enoteca handled it with ease. The space lends itself well to hosting larger groups, and the menu is sure to delight everyone – especially because they have vegetarian and gluten free options.
Thanks so much to Davanti Enoteca for having us!
